HIPAA Training Deadline
A4DD member drivers are reminded this week to complete their HIPAA training.
HIPAA training is required for any driver that has access to Protected Health Information (PHI). This includes drivers who deliver blood, lab samples, pharmacy prescriptions and DMEPOS (durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies).
Check with your Contracting Company or refer to your Independent Contractor Agreement to determine if you are required to complete HIPAA training annually or every two years.
