A4DD offers two HazMat training courses built for delivery drivers through an exclusive partnership with Transcompss.  Both are USDOT-compliant, run 30-45 minutes, and are specially discounted for A4DD members:

  • HazMat Basic Training for Drivers
  • Radioactive Materials / Medicine  (for Class 7 materials)

HazMat Basic Training is also known as “Dangerous Goods” or “DG” training.  Know what the US Department of Transportation needs for transporting non-radioactive, non-placarded shipments on US roadways.  The course raises general awareness of rules and procedures. It covers function-specific, safety, and security standards.  The Radioactive Materials course includes this Basic Training course and adds what you need to know to transport and deliver Class 7 goods like radioactive medicines.

Not all delivery drivers should take this training.  If you haul bulk quantities of HazMat and your vehicle needs to display “placards” (diamond-shaped signs with HazMat symbols and numbers), then you should choose different training.   However, if you are like most delivery drivers and transport smaller quantities of potentially hazardous substances, then Transcompss and A4DD have teamed up to bring you a unique training opportunity.

Introducing Our Training Partner

Transcompss founder Mark Fries started unloading airplanes in 1988 as a college job.
