• HIPAA Training for Delivery Drivers. In the course of delivering medical lab samples, pharmacy prescriptions, and even durable medical equipment, drivers have access to patient information—called Protected Health Information (PHI).  There are specific steps a driver must take to ensure that a patient’s health information is not compromised.  Successful completion of this course is required by the Federal and State governments.
• Bloodborne Pathogens for Delivery Drivers. Medical couriers who transport blood, tissue samples, and other lab test items are at risk of exposure to harmful bloodborne pathogens.  It is their duty to handle these substances properly in order to reduce the risk to themselves and others.  This annual training is required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).
• Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training for Delivery Drivers. Delivery drivers routinely deliver items such as prescription drugs and durable medical equipment.  In many cases, these items are provided to the patient through payments from Medicare and Medicaid.  As such, the driver plays a part in that Medicare or Medicaid transaction.  The Federal government wants anyone in the Medicare “eco-system” to be their eyes and ears to identify and report fraud, waste and abuse (FWA).  This course was designed especially for delivery drivers and covers best practices related to helping drivers comply with this requirement.
