New Partner for Cargo and General Liability Insurance Benefits

A4DD is teaming up with United National Group to provide both cargo insurance and general liability insurance to our members starting October 1, 2020.  Through this change we are able to offer our members another year of superior insurance protection with NO INCREASE in costs.  Coverage terms and conditions will remain the same. United National has an “A” (Excellent) rating from the prestigious A.M. Best agency.

We thank Lloyds of London, our previous partner, for all its good work over these past two years and for helping us launch a general liability insurance benefit.  We also thank our broker partner, Risk Strategies Company.

General Liability Insurance Benefit

General liability (GL) insurance protects drivers from legal costs and judgments resulting from accidental injury and property damage not caused by auto accidents (which are insured through auto insurance).  For example, GL covers incidents while drivers are in a building.  Proof of GL insurance is required to enter many buildings to pick up and deliver.  A4DD’s program offers two levels of coverage – $100,000 and $1,000,000.  It also covers claims from loading and unloading, which are excluded from most other GL policies.  And drivers can choose to add coverage for installation and assembly work.  All for a few dollars a week.

Business As Usual

Members who are enrolled in cargo and general liability insurance currently do not have to do anything.  Their coverage will transfer automatically to United National and their billings will remain the same.  Members with regulatory cargo filings will see United National make new filings on their behalf as of 10/1/2020 to enable smooth continuation of their motor carrier authority.  New certificates of insurance will automatically go to their primary contracting companies if they have a Contracting Company Code (CCC).  Drivers can order any other certificates of insurance they need by logging into A4DD.org.

The Bottom Line

The Association’s Cargo insurance and GL insurance benefits are changing on Sunday, 10/1.  The new insurance through United National offers stable pricing and equal protection.  If you aren’t taking advantage of driver access to these affordable benefits to protect your business, now is the time to learn more.  Click here to contact us about how to promote cargo and general liability insurance for drivers and reduce your company’s costs.
