Save Your Bacon! (with Cargo Insurance)

Save Your Bacon

What do these two A4DD members have in common?  Mike from Memphis, TN stopped for gas and decided to browse the convenience store.  Upon exiting he discovered his van broken into.  Someone had scooted off with several app-accessible dockless electric scooters that he was transporting to a shop for maintenance.  Meanwhile, Sally from Santa Rosa, NM swerved to avoid an object in the middle of the road and lost control of her vehicle.  She wound up rolling over into a ditch and luckily sustained only moderate injuries.  The restaurant/deli supplies she was delivering for a cold cuts supplier weren’t so lucky.

Returning to our question, both drivers suffered (very different) cargo losses.  Both incidents resulted in over $19,000 in damages to the shipper.  Both drivers had signed contracts making them responsible for the value of lost or damaged cargo in their care – regardless of fault, which is commonplace.  And both lacked the resources to pay what they owed out of pocket.  However, one other thing they shared really saved their baconboth had cargo insurance through A4DD.

“I pay, like, $10 a week,” explained Sally after her recovery, “I’m so happy I signed up for the insurance.”  Mike admitted that he got the insurance mainly to satisfy a contract requirement, “But I’m going to make sure I’m covered, no matter who I deliver for in the future.”  “I was kind of surprised that there didn’t seem to be a bunch of fine print for the company to use to deny a claim,” he added happily. For Sally, the bottom line is this, “The claim got taken care of really quickly and without a hassle. I really appreciate the value of being a member of the Association.”

A4DD cargo insurance is available to all members, starting at just $3.00 a week with limits available from $5,000 to $100,000.  Our coverage terms cover more claims and our deductible is the lowest around.  Click here to learn more and sign up today.

P.S.  The scooters were replaced and the deli got what it needed to keep serving up its bacon. Driver names and certain details were altered to protect the privacy of our members, but these were real claims.   Most important, NO BACON WAS HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS BLOG OR THE EVENTS DESCRIBED as certified by the AHS-4CC (American Humane Society 4 Cold Cuts).
