Every quarter A4DD reviews the claims on our affordable Occupational Accident insurance program, which protects members who sign up from the costs of work-related injuries.  That includes medical and hospital expenses, lost income, and more.  Now we’ve decided to share information about those “OccAcc” claims with you (respecting member privacy).

• For both of the past two years over a dozen members have been injured badly enough to file OccAcc claims.  Each claim averaged over $10,000.
• A4DD’s OccAcc insurance has paid out over $150,000 in claims to drivers in each of the past two years.
• The most serious claim in each of the past two years paid over $70,000.  One involved a head-on collision. The other driver suffered a severe stress fracture in his back trying to unload a crate from his vehicle.  
• Some drivers have yet to recover from their injuries. Their claims remain open so these numbers are likely to rise further.

All of us at A4DD wish our injured members a full and swift recovery.  Also, not all the news is bleak.  The vast majority of members avoided serious injury, and most accidents can be prevented through training on safe driving and lifting, proper equipment and vehicle maintenance, and practicing good wellness techniques.  A4DD can assist you with all of this.
