A4DD has secured the renewal on our cargo insurance and general liability insurance benefits, and we have good news to share. Current insurance that was set to expire on 10/1 is now good through 11/1/2023 and new certificates are going out this week.  If you are not already protected by these low-cost insurance benefits, now is the perfect time to enroll. Here are the highlights for each coverage.

  • Cargo Insurance (covers your responsibility for the value of goods you are transporting in case they are damaged, lost, or stolen):
    • New Coverage: Starting 11/1, all A4DD members with cargo insurance will be covered for loss  to business equipment up to $2500, for just $0.78 per week or less.  Stay tuned for more details.
    • Rates: After five years without an increase, rates are rising by 4-5% – between a dime and a dollar per week – and not until November.
    • Summary: members will see premiums rise by $1-2/week (in some cases less) while gaining a great deal on additional protection.
  • General Liability Insurance (covers legal bills and judgments from injuries, accidents, and damage that auto and cargo insurance don’t cover. Essential for food and in-home “white glove delivery):
    • New Coverage: Starting 11/1 A4DD will offer a $1 million limit option for insurance that covers white glove delivery (assembly/installation) for under $19/week.  Drivers will need to have proof of training – stay tuned for more details.
    • Rates: Once again no rate increase for members in our Standard Plan.  White Glove coverage rates are rising 5% as of 11/1, but you can avoid any increase by showing proof of training.
    • Summary: most members will see no increase in premiums and new discounts and coverage options are becoming available for members trained in best practices for White Glove delivery.

Certificates and Questions.  Members do not need to request updated certificates of insurance.  A4DD will issue new certs this week.  You can order additional certificates any time from the A4DD website.  Members with questions should send us a message using the A4DD website message button (found on the lower right side of every page) or the Contact Us page. Or email us at [email protected].  We do not recommend calling us since our phone staff is limited.
